A Journey to Overcome Weakness

My name is Melina, I'm 18 and i've been crossfitting since December of 2011. Since then I've become completely addicted to the lifestyle and community.

My love of food has grown exponentially since I started eating (mostly) paleo (most of the time).

So here's some stuff I find interesting, inspiring, or would just like to eat.

WOD

Strength:

Bench 5, 3 @ 100lbs

Back squat 3 @ 175

Failed on both lifts, time to drop it down and work my way back up again.

WOD:

12 minute AMRAP of

10 DB thrusters (25 lbs)

250 m row

Finished 4 + 10 thrusters and 200 m row

I was aiming for 5, and I was so close. Realizing that no matter how hard I pulled or how fast I went I wasn’t going to get to 250 on the last one was kind of frustrating, but I’m happy that I did get that close. I was going to go for 20s, but something told me to go heavier. I’m slower because of it, but I’m always more satisfied when I use a heavier weight.
